Nayna, Inc. ("Nayna," "we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

This policy applies to all users of the Nayna mobile application, website, and related services. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

• Phone number (required for account creation and OTP verification)
• Display name, username, profile photo, and bio
• Artist credentials: profession, studio name, address, certifications
• Reviews and ratings you submit (tied to verified bookings)
• Photos and videos uploaded as part of reviews or posts
• Payment information (processed by Stripe — Nayna does not store full card numbers)
• Messages sent through the in-app messaging system

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device type, operating system, and app version
• IP address and approximate location (city-level)
• Usage data: screens visited, features used, session duration
• Booking and transaction records
• Log data and crash reports

2.3 Information from Third Parties

• Stripe: payment status and limited billing information
• Twilio: SMS delivery confirmation

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Authenticate your identity via phone OTP
• Facilitate bookings between clients and artists
• Calculate and display verified Nayna Scores
• Process payments and manage subscriptions via Stripe
• Send booking confirmations, reminders, and review prompts via SMS
• Power the social feed, rankings, and connector leaderboard
• Enforce our Terms of Service and detect fraud
• Improve the Platform through usage analytics
• Send you service updates and important notices

4. Information Sharing

4.1 With Other Users

Your public profile information is visible to other Nayna users. Reviews marked "friends" are visible only to your followers. Reviews marked "private" are visible only to the artist.

4.2 With Service Providers

• Stripe — payment processing and subscription management
• Twilio — SMS verification and notifications
• Supabase — database hosting and authentication infrastructure
• Cloud storage providers — photo and video storage

4.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Nayna, its users, or the public.

4.4 Business Transfers

If Nayna is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deactivation:

• Your profile is removed from public view immediately
• Reviews you left are anonymised (not deleted)
• Booking history is retained for 7 years for financial record-keeping
• You may request a full data export at any time from Settings > Download My Data

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to certain uses. To exercise any right, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies and Tracking

The Nayna web application uses minimal cookies for session management and security. We do not use cross-site tracking cookies or sell data to advertising networks. Analytics are conducted using anonymized aggregate data.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest, row-level security on all database tables, and access controls. Notify us at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.

9. Children's Privacy

Nayna is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have additional rights under CCPA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of sale of personal information. Nayna does not sell personal information. To submit a CCPA request, contact [email protected].

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notice or SMS. Your continued use of Nayna after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
